We maintain a small, select herd of LaMancha and Nubian dairy goats. We breed t for structural correctness, production, longevity and health. All kids are raised on a strict CAE prevention program and are handled daily and given individual attention. We maintain a CAE negative herd, testing annually CAE ELISA with Washington State University. Our herd is vaccinated for CD & T and we adhere to a closely watched deworming program. Our herd has access at all times to pasture, woods and browse, along with free choice minerals. We feed a 16% dairy goat feed and provide quality perennial peanut hay to milkers and kids.
ADGA performance programs are utilized to enhance the overall quality of our herd. Linear appraisal is done annually and starting in 2008 our herd will be on official DHIR production testing.
We ask for a deposit of $50.00 per kid ordered with the balance due within 14 days after notification of birth. When choosing a kid, please designate a second choice if possible, in the event that your first choice is not available. If we are unable to fill your order or if the animal does not meet our standards of quality, your deposit may be transferred to another choice or refunded upon buyer's request.
Deposits are not refunded on cancelled orders.
We do offer discounts to 4-H and FFA youth members and repeat buyers. We encourage you, if possible, to pick your kid up in person so that you can see your kid and its relatives. We know this is not always possible and offer shipping out of Tampa International Airport. All shipping cost, including health papers, shipping crate and shipping fees are to be paid by buyer prior to time of shipping. We take care of registering the goats and submitting all the necessary paperwork (registration and transfer of ownership), to the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) at the time the goat is paid for.
We abide by ADGA Recommended Trade Practices for Members (ADGA Guidebook, Bylaws Article XIX).
Thank you for interest in our dairy goats. If you have any questions or need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to e-mail or call.
